Ideas for new wikis

Proposals for new wikis to be created

It's very easy to create a new wiki. You don't have to ask anybody for permission to do it, but it still needs some work before a new wiki is halfway ready to function as an active community. Listing and shortly describing ideas for new wikis is a better idea than simply going forward with them, because getting reactions on an idea for a new wiki is precious in order to evaluate if the idea is a good one. Also, someone might point you to an existing wiki fulfilling the purpose already, thereby saving server space.

Note: Whoever had the idea for a new wiki also creates the wiki. Don't be unfair, please.

EduWiki

My idea is an educational wiki. It could be like a website for textbooks and general information that would be useful for people who need information on subjects they are studying in school. The wiki would have itself blocked so that only registered users can edit pages, thus keeping the wiki from being cluttered up by vandals. If anyone else is interested, please let me know by posting under this. 64.12.116.145 20:24, 13 April 2007 (EDT)

Sounds like an okay idea. Actually, it sounds like Wikipedia, except ... cleaner. 71.80.53.227 05:30, 14 April 2007 (EDT)
Sounds like a combination of WikiBooks and Wikiversity to me 72.48.10.112 20:37, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

Omnipedia

This wiki would serve as a database for all knowledge available to humanity, as opposed to Wikipedia, which restricts content to important and /or basic information. --Zakarag 19:12, 1 December 2007 (EST)

Jesuspedia

Pretty much Conservapedia except even more radical. It would be written from a strictly religious standpoint. --Karajou 20:49, 26 December 2007 (EST)

This has been done. Jesuspedia aims to be a general Biblical and Christian wiki encyclopedia for the world from the point of view of God's Kingdom. The encyclopedia is in unity with all genuine Christians. Only believers in the Lord Jesus are allowed to edit, and only men can give Christian teachings (First Timothy 2:12). Policies for the wiki generally are to follow the Bible. Wikispaces is hosting this wiki here. I created a wiki on editthis.info here. Servant of LORD 20:57, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

Schoolpedia

An information sheet, which anyone can edit! Subject matter deals with school materials and the related issues. --Papparainen 11:58, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
